HOKUM: Adam Scott is terrific as a writer who comes across some strangeness in an Ireland hotel. A very nuanced, emotional performance. Also, the movie’s scary as fuck, but old fashioned in how it delivers its scares and dread. Best go in blind, but Damian McCarthy’s a director to pay attention to.
