It's worth stressing for those who haven't played RAD that up until this precise point, the game has played it straight about the consequences of your destruction and it's only later on that it's like, "Actually, giant robots should be used to destroy capitalism, not maintain it." It's beautiful.

Absolutely agreed with this! To me Snes Shiren is like one of the most wonderful games EVER MADE. Its deep but simple, elegant, intuitive, and profoundly evocative. Its as much a powerful experience as it is actually really fun, challenging and stressful. You should play it, please, play it.

#1 day of my Boku No Natsuyasumi 2 August exploring: The overall vibe of this game is out of this world, easily one of the most beautiful games I ever played on its visuals alone. The colors are so gracious, the sound design is to die for. The scene that most stucked with me today was this one:

For all artist who can make six/eight frame running cycles: you're awesome. I always start my animations trying to go for less frames but end up very unsatisfied and going for a 10frames run animation.

FFTA is better than PS1 FFT in absolutely every single way .-. The only reason FFTA got rage is the teenager beef about they have chosen to use an aesthetic much less edgy and grim. Its all related to how much people despise childrens book and fantasy stories for stupid reasons.

My hot take of the day is: Widescreen is usually a bad ratio for videogames. The more I think about it more I like the intimacy of the square and 4:3 compositions. There's a much stronger sense of place on it. 16:9 screens in comparison feel much more bland and unecessarily extended :/
