Walked outside to do my usual New Year's ritual, got hit with an unexpected snowstorm. If my rituals are anything to go by, it's going to be a rather strange year.

Quiet morning

A close-up of a Tufted Titmouse with his/her tuft blowing in the wind. I love their black eyelashes. The thin black feathers around the break are rictal bristles, which are common in many birds but their size and placement differs between species.
