In the UK, the House of Lords (also called Peers 🤔) voted to pardon women who had already been convicted of illegal abortion and to expunge police records of those arrested. This comes after the gov't decriminalized women in June. The anti-choice movement is furious women can't be jailed anymore.

It was the second blow for the United States, which twice attempted to bring America's culture wars on gender to the global stage.

The UK House of Lords voted to fully decriminalise women who access abortion care outside legal pathways in England and Wales, paving the way for long-overdue reform. Women should never be treated as criminals when they need reproductive healthcare.

The global reproductive rights organization Ipas will be receiving "multi millions" from TED's Audacious Project. This is the first time the project has funded an organization that works specifically in abortion access and care since the initiative was developed in 2018.
