The Government has responded to our report looking at paternity leave and shared parental leave. Although we welcome the review announced in July, we are disappointed there is no definite commitment to longer, better paid paternity leave during this Parliament. Read below ⬇️

A welcome and important move from the govt- @commonswec.parliament.uk found our current parental leave system isn't working for parents. Statutory pay isn't keeping up with the cost of living, and parental leave is one of the worst in the developed world Our committee will keep working in this area

The average time for diagnosis - let alone treatment - of debilitating conditions like endometriosis and adenomyosis is a staggering 10 years. While women are kept waiting, many are unable to work - costing the British economy £11bn. We need the Women's Health Strategy to start delivering.

Thousands of women across the UK have experienced distress and ill health as a result of defective breast implants. As part of our @commonswec.parliament.uk inquiry into the risks of cosmetic procedures, we heard of ongoing issues with letting affected women know they may have defective implants.
