Very emotional to meet Tony Marra on the 2nd anniversary of his sister Paola’s assisted death in Switzerland. Paola had terminal bowel cancer and died at the age of 53. All she wanted, like so many other terminally ill people, was choice & dignity in her dying days.

Absolutely right from Lord Pannick. Scrutiny & debate is welcome, but having sat through many of these long debates in the unelected chamber what we have seen repeatedly over the last few months has gone far beyond this. All terminally ill people want is choice & dignity😔

The move to remove hereditary peers is welcome. The next logical step should be to remove the Lords Spiritual. There should be no reserved seats in Parliament for any one religion. It’s time to remove bishops from the House of Lords.
