Lord Markham explains that the medical Royal Colleges take a neutral position on assisted dying, reflecting the range of views among their members. Neutrality means neither backing nor opposing the Bill.

I’m utterly heartbroken to hear of the death of Nathaniel Dye MBE. Musician, teacher, campaigner and friend to so many of us. Nat was a beautiful man with a heart of gold. He squeezed every last drop of joy out of life and taught me so much about why living a good death matters.
