I think it’s funny that there are lot of efforts to quantify the broader economic implications of family-friendly policies that help women enter or remain in the labor force, and I workout at a golf club on weekday mornings and see another area for productivity gains.

When one is surrounded by cowardice in the academy, it's difficult to see bright spots. But 3x this year I was witness to profound courage in response to bad actors -- 3 different people, all at different institutions in different situations. I am so grateful for their examples.
