I wrote this line at the very beginning of my game writing career. A little joke that grew into something so much bigger. I've written many games since Red Alert Three, but the memes from this one live on.

I was lukewarm on the newest Life is Strange (Double Exposure), but I'm happy to say that the franchise's original developers, Dontnod, nailed it with their newest game. Lost Records: Bloom and Rage was a fantastic story that captured adolescence in a way I've never seen in games before. Loved it.

What video game do you consider perfect? Lost Records: Bloom & Rage I'm not being overly dramatic when I say, this game feels like someone said, let's make a game just for Autumn Witch. I can't even think about it and not well up. It's ruined other games for me.

I’m not in charge of GDC, but if I was, I would immediately: - move it to Vancouver. No one wants to go to SF anymore for many reasons. - pay speakers or at least offer a meaningful travel stipend - offer a live streaming pass for devs who can’t/won’t travel, and online networking (no doxxing)

No lie, when @michelkoch.bsky.social and @lucbaghadoust.bsky.social interviewed me and told me the age of the player character, I told them that even if I didn’t get to work on the game, I couldn’t wait to play it. It’s a rare privilege for characters to closely align with my lived experiences.

This year's Summer Games Fest presentation was really concerned with how few people made a lot of those games, huh? It feels kinda fucked up. Not just because they're often misrepresntating the real size of these teams, but because I think it's playing directly into a new(ish) flavour of dev hate.
