A portrait of Rafa using the Zorn palette + raw umber. I like limited palettes, they sort of force me to make deliberate choices! I realised too late that the angle of the eye wasn’t quite the same as the model, but it works as a face and you don’t know the model anyway 😂✌️

Another one from my sketchbook: Brigitte Calls Me Baby at Omeara, Aug 20th. Intimate shows always feel so special, more so when it’s a band you are sure will move to bigger stages soon… I wish them all the success they deserve, but I’m going to treasure these moments so into my sketchbook they go!

Most of my sketches are just for me, I don’t have a strong memory and I realised that sketching helps me remember. So they don’t need to be pretty and they don’t need to be shared. But I spent more time than usual on this one, so I felt like posting it! I don’t use acrylics usually, it was fun!

This week in art (apart from work)… during summer, it’s more difficult to stick to a routine but whenever I am free I am going to life drawing/painting sessions 😂✌️ Someday, I’ll stop working and live out of thin air and just do this ✨✨(and also fun fantasy commissions! Those are ok!)
