The GSS just dropped new data this week. Here's an interesting shift over the past 10 years. Among Americans as a whole, fewer say that being a Christian is "very/fairly important" to being truly American. But Republicans actually *increased* in that view, reflecting the hard ethno-nationalist turn.

We just published a paper in JESP investigating how religious Jewish Israelis and Muslim Palestinians in the West Bank perceive the religious beliefs the other. This work was conducted before the current war but provides insights into the psychology of what is often seen as a "religious conflict".
