The association between threat and conservatism is narrow. I don’t, personally, see how it can be a broad or generalized explanation for ideology.

8/ The core issue: PROCESS doesn't test your theoretical model — it describes variance and distributes it across pathways. The serial causal chain model makes a prediction and checks whether the data are consistent with it. These are not the same thing.
