In transparency, doing the Godot gamedev thing is a challenge with the kids home from school and being the primary caregiver. Will resume in a week.

Day 3 of #100DaysofGameDev learning @godotengine.org , finished module 4. I also experimented with gdlint and the plugin GDLinter (and edited it so it would work with Linux). I then looked at a Godot 4 book I had set aside last year; I understand it more, but the examples are still flawed and buggy.

Day 2 of #100DaysofGameDev learning @godotengine.org , Up to M4.L5 in the "Learn 2D Gamedev" course. I keep wanting to end lines with a semicolon. So far, the API docs and the course are great; a couple moments of "draw the rest of the owl" but nothing blocking, just stuff I'll come back to.

Manu Larcenet's graphic novel adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's THE ROAD is fantastic and haunting. Some sparing and effective use of color. The mood and grimness is well captured. A very literal retelling, and the pitch letter from the artist to McCarthy stresses that it's not a reinterpretation.
