I was line editing this microscopy Review for Nature Methods on my plane ride home yesterday, and I had this sad thought of who is going to love microscopy like I loved it for the journal. But then deep down I know the next person will be even better than me.

Despite the bumpy start, my trip to London was wonderful! I even got a lot of sunshine! My colleagues at the Nature office are amazing, especially my team. Definitely wishing there weren't this big pond separating us.

Yesterday my family took a friend who is red/green colorblind to a large gardens. It was a beautiful sunny day. He recently got sunglasses that restore his color vision and he kept exclaiming "that's purple! that's orange!" in delight. It was such an uplifting experience. Gotta love science.
