Thank you, everyone. We are a bit overwhelmed, at the expressions of kindness from so many people. ☺️

Our sweet old Tiger has gone. He walked up the driveway about 15 years ago and helped my dad walk the dog every night. We never found his first owners, so he stayed. He loved the dog, and for the past two years acted as big brother to teach our injured feral cat how to live indoors. He delighted us.

La Bandita is noodling around for something yummy in the alligator ditch. She turns up with four or five kits every spring, the building owner has them trapped and removed, but she’s too smart to be caught. You go, Bandita!

My neighbor’s grandkid graduated from something today, and about 20 girls are in a giant bounce house in their back yard playing “Party in the USA” over and over and singing along and having a fabulous time 🥰. No complaints here, the sound of happy kids is great!

Good morning and happy Friday to everyone. Honestly, voting is like taking a bus. If there isn't one going exactly to your destination, you don't stay at home and sulk—you take the one going closest to where you want to be. We can vote better than they can cheat. 💙🗳️

Vaccines are starting to gain traction in cancer treatment. A DNA based vaccine is a potential treatment for glioblastoma. Developed by Geneos Therapeutics, it transforms “cold” tumors into “hot” tumors that can be targeted by the patient’s own immune system. 🧪

critically this was the case in 1870 when the 15th amendment was ratified! there is literally no such thing as partisan gerrymandering and manipulation of voting rules in the south outside of the context of “white reactionaries want to neuter black political power”

this is such a great encapsulation of what the various factions of the reactionary right want. i might add that they envision themselves as slave masters and the rest of us, in one way or another, as their slaves.
