To understand how monstrous the US blockade on Cuba is, think about the endgame. What are they trying to achieve? The goal is clearly to starve people to the point where they are too weak to resist an invasion, or so desperate they are willing to accept US control.

US companies owned up to 70% of arable land in Cuba, 90% of mining, and 90% of the utilities sector. That's what "freedom" is for them, freedom to own and exploit other people's countries.
