Viewing x purely as practice has boosted both my usage and enjoyment of it exponentially, and therefore also its effectiveness as practice. If you're a comp player performing in comp should be your goal. Don't worry about performing your best both in comp AND solo. Let one become the practice space

Apparently there is x rank discourse now so daily reminder that it is never your fault and if you blame your teammates that is a sign of very high skill

im like 90% sure that so many people coping about x rank being bad/meaningless/unfair and convincing people not to play it set the western scene back by years

make practice a game and separate your progress from the numbers. Things feel a lot better when you reward yourself for good habits and don’t punish yourself for things out of your control.
