Am I crazy or is Bing currently just not indexing a ton of sites and people? Even using "site:" just gives me random results in other languages. Netflix and Google show up fine, UniFi and Lutron homepages aren't even on the first page (unless I use "site":), and
spacebar.news
is gone altogether.

I've been bedridden for the last 6 months, unable to work as I try to get a surgeon and insurance lined up for my operation to let me work again. If you could send a couple dollars, it'd really help. Time isn't on my side here, and waiting is very expensive.

I’m kind of speechless with this one. I can’t imagine the kind of person who continues to make the argument that it doesn’t count as real starvation if the kids were already sick.

I got 2 of the 32" Samsung Odyssey G70D a few months back because Samsung was doing one of their crazy sales that are probably just the proper retail pricing, and they're pretty good but they also have so many weird issues.

USB-C has its issues, but being able to charge all my devices from the same USB-PD port with the same cable is honestly incredible.

What happened with Polygon today is so fucked. Vox Media has made some atrocious decisions in my six years here but this is really something else. And to do this in the middle of us bargaining a new union contract, where they scold us for asking for better protections, is just unconscionable.

Lets replace search with "AI" then! Totally logical if you ask me. Even more worth it when you know they're exponentially overtaking the airline industry in their carbon footprint. Study:

I made a Doom source port that runs within a PDF file. PDFs support Javascript, so Emscripten is used to compile Doom to asm.js, which is then run within the PDF engine. Input/output is done by manipulating text input fields.

I kid you not,
@itch.io
has been taken down by Funko of "Funko Pop" because they use some trash "AI Powered" Brand Protection Software called Brand Shield that created some bogus Phishing report to our registrar, iwantmyname, who ignored our response and just disabled the domain

a constant pattern, across every industry i've seen or been in, is that most people working in it want to make enough money to get by, and usually get pretty good at it but then some Money Person comes in to Optimizie it and absolutely destroys the product that made money in the first place
