I have been saying this for months and it’s the one thing I believe Bondi on. Blanche not Bondi has been pulling the strings on Epstein cover up. He knows the federal system. He know how to manipulate it and talk about it.

Actual facts about the 1/6 prosecutions below. Everything else is a lie or misinformed. This administration can’t erase the facts (don’t they know the internet never forgets). (Good thing I’ve written a lot about this in my book coming out in January):

An extraordinary rebuke of Todd Blanche and his Justice Department. Federal judge dismisses the indictment of Abrego Garcia (an exceedingly rare outcome in a criminal case). Finding of vindictive prosecution and "an abuse of prosecuting power." The opinion name checks Blanche nearly 30 times.

I don't think we in the legal community are giving sufficient attention to just how unlawful, corrupt and unenforceable this document is. It's so absurd--and was, until now, so unimaginable--that I wouldn't have even considered using it as a law school exam hypo. static01.nyt.com/newsgraphics...

And it was acting AG Blanche who made it happen by speaking publicly in ways he shouldn’t have been about a case that shouldn’t have been brought. I would like to think he will learn a lesson and go back to our SDNY roots but I know that’s not happening. Instead they will attack the judge.

We are going to savor this one. Our client, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, is freed of these outrageous, vindictive charges. It’s a good day.

Once again the federal courts are doing their jobs despite many pressures. No doubt this DOJ will attack this judge as partisan and biased etc etc. But it is the Acting AG’s own public words that doomed this case to be dismissed.

It is absolutely not “completely normal and healthy” (as DOJ claims) to move prosecutors around on cases to get the result you want when the ethical, career prosecutors won’t do your bidding.

Statement from survivors. “Survivors have done their part now it’s time for those in power to do theirs.” Melania says “center survivors” but doesn’t consult with them about her “testify before congress” idea. Very performative. Esp. when DOJ that her husband controls won’t even meet with survivors.

“I love you, sir.” This is humiliating, and yet another sign that DOJ has lost its independence.

Melanie’s “I never knew him” statement feels a lot like Trump calling the Palm Beach Police when Epstein was arrested 2006 and saying “thank god you got him.”
