Phew, this was ... intense.

I rarely say this but I don't think we need this one. A highly stylized, plotless gorefest is basically a snuff film that isn't even pretending to be anything but that. It's a Pandora's Box we won't be able to close. Terrifier at least tried to have a plot. This is different entirely.

Next up, I got Black Flame by Gretchen Felker-Martin. I really enjoyed Manhunt and immediately picked this one up after finishing it. I go in blind with whatever I'm reading most of the time so I've just had this sitting in my book bag with no idea what it's about.

Just finished this one as the library was closing today. I read like 250 pages of this today. This is one of the most brutal and unforgiving things I've read in recent memory. I remember Keene being malicious and graphic in his writing style but nothing could have prepared me for reading this book.

Next up, Brian Keene 's Ghoul. In high school Keene was my favorite all time horror author. I haven't picked up one of his books in so long though. Should be interesting to experience one of his novels I never got around to as a grown ass human🖤

Autumn by David Moody Open Discussion: I enjoyed this even though it was a very slow (pun intended) developing story. It's not particularly unique within the zombie genre but it has characters that make you invest in their stories. #DavidMoody #Zombies #Horror #BookSky #autumn

Finished this one up this morning. Honestly, there isn't a lot to this first novel that sets it apart from a lot of other zombie stories I've ever experienced. It's a unique and original story though. I like the characters and the way Moody takes his time setting up the zombies characteristics.

I want to read more Dean Koontz. I do but I like to read shit in order and the man has written almost as many books as James Patterson and just released two new books this year. I'm 4 books in to the Odd Thomas series and I'm fucking exhausted. #NotHorror #BookSky

Finally finished this audiobook a couple days ago. This was a good sequel. I kind of wish I had waited and just read the book though just because of how much I loved the first book in this series. That's not to say anything negative about the audiobooks because they did an incredible job.

This one took forever to get through. It's a good story. It's really slow and it doesn't pick up pace at all throughout it. It's not a bad book but it is laborious AF. I don't finish books I don't like so I liked it. It's a fucking grind to get through though.

Damn, I accidentally deleted this whole ass post. I've been reading this for the past 3 days. I'm probably going to finish it up later tonight or early tomorrow. I'm really enjoying it so far. I'm really hard to please when it comes to vampires but so far this is great.
