With 2026 continuing the slide from awful to terrible, I should stop whining and post some colour to lift the mood. There are four subspecies of the Australian ringneck parrot. This one is the mallee ringneck.

I am so glad I went to Bald Hill Beach! I found the godwits. Lots of them. Including this one with its fat tummy and dangly legs 😊 All fattened up and ready for its huge journey soon.
