Kid tonight after playing nonstop for 4 straight hours before going to a pizza party: “Mama, don’t tell anyone or me that I’m growing up.”

Oof. Still asking questions and his voice breaks when he asks if he will see me after we die. He wants to stay a kid he says, but ironically doesn’t realize these are questions that will brook his next phase of life.

If I say “really amazing strawberry ice cream sandwiches somewhere round germantown (Philadelphia)” do people know what I’m talking about?

At bedtime, kid asked me repeatedly (like 50 times) what happens when we die, if we see our mothers again, if we return as ourselves in new places or in old places as new people, and if we get to be babies or get to be children. He asked if this was true or make believe. He asked if he could hide.

I am eating a caramel donut in a park with my kid on a swing. It is really nice to be doing this.
