PDS MOOver is a portability suite (with a cute cow logo) that lets you move your PDS between any two providers, plus useful stuff like backup and restore. And @blackskyweb.xyz has added PDS hosting to their suite of alternate ATProtocol services, with a tool called Tektite for the migration process.

Moved over to Blacksky using @tektite.cc to avoid the random moderation decisions that Bluesky has been going through as the politics of the world gets more fascist. Same followers, name, and language, just in a new home in this open network!

I hear and see your concerns. Over the weekend, a couple users hosted on Blacksky's PDS were banned from the Bluesky app and thus the Bluesky API servers. This was a weakness of our system I've been aware of and hoped we had more time to address before any kind of public incident. 1/11

app.wafrn.net is another option that is somehow native to both activitypub and atproto and they seem to have a good time. pdsmoover.com by @baileytownsend.dev , @tektite.cc, and atpairport.com by @knotbin.com are PDS migration tools and the devs for each are very helpful

for what it's worth, Rudy made the myatproto.social and cryptoanarchy.network specifically for people who are not black but want to be hosted by a non-bsky entity. There's multiple posts where he confirms this. @tektite.cc is their PDS migrate tool, blacksky.community client, mods @blackskyweb.xyz

Re worded some of the status updates for missing.pdsmoover.com Found in real world accounts that expected blobs and imported would not always match up as expected. Was causing some confusion. So now uses listMissingBlobs as the check if any are missing and hide some of the stats counts from the ui

New update! - Some users were experiencing frozen 0% uploads and the migration just ceased. The update should address this. - Improved rate limiting: When folks have a lot of data, the servers can throttle migrations, causing migration progress to stall. Tektite handles this a bit better now.

I moved all my data and identity over to Blacksky last night using @tektite.cc . Bluesky can ban or suspend me but they can only do that at their appview. I could still use blacksky.community to post and continue with this fun social media experiment. I would suggest to not use tektite.cc on phone.
