I've been thinking about this a lot, for months: Gaza was a breaking point between verifiable reality and liberal governance. "AI" sparks fears ppl will believe things that aren't true, but Gaza SHOWED things that WERE true—& western governments, universities & news outlets pretened they were not.

One thing most people don't understand is that we in the US enjoy greater wealth funded by other countries because they assume we are a stable and relatively friendly hegemon.

the U.S. politics and polling punditry press simply acts as if propaganda doesn't exist when discussing electoral voting habits. This country's entire information system is an open sewer, agitprop saturates everything, informed consensus is under assault -- yet this just doesn't get a mention.

US higher education was a crown jewel, generating knowledge, wealth, prestige, and power unrivaled by anyone. And the US is throwing it away, because Americans elected a govt ideologically opposed to truth, science, merit, and racial/gender equality, preferring to weaken the country to reduce that.

I just called my reps. I’m so angry it’s hard to be rational. We are now truly teetering. No elected official should vote to fund the government. If you have Dem reps: This is no time to wait for schumer and jeffries. Especially if your Dem rep is young. Now is the time to step up. Call.

The Honey Drippers were a band of Black high school kids from Queens brought together by Georgia-born songwriter Roy C. Hammond. When all record labels were scared to put this anti-Nixon jam out, Hammond released it himself. It’s been sampled by many hip hop artists. Rest in Power Mr. Hammond.

Just thinking again how Democrats asked people to accept short-term suffering in order to give space to prevent long-term, worse suffering and then said, "Thanks for suffering in the short-term. You'll get to suffer long-term too so that our Thanksgiving plans don't get disrupted."
