Last month, Aleanna Royal Bechdel, a 31 year-old Black trans woman who was a DJ, promoter, and artist, was murdered in a housing complex in New York, and a 54-year old man was arrested. There has been very little press coverage on this, including by queer outlets run by cis white people.
