Found this book in our house, Manners for Millions, Sophie Hadida, 1932. 295 pages on how to conduct yourself to not offend or irritate anyone anywhere ever. In 2025, I don't think any of us would survive half an hour with Sophie without getting the cut direct, but I bet that was also true in 1932.
