IMO the reason this stretch of Charles feels so special is it is one of the few places in the city where commercial activity from big streets (Yonge, Bloor, and Bay) stretches into a true mixed use environment. A great diversity of housing, both in type and affordability, with cool stuff at grade.

Went from the Finch Store celebration to Good Fork to singing for a grilled cheese at Geary Art Crawl. A good day.
