A homegrown Minnesota larp!

I need us all to internalize that there are more larps than boffer larps or international blockbuster larps. Parlor and freeform larps provide just as much power. One of the best larps I have ever played isBut Not Tonight by @yeonsoonerorlater.bsky.social. It's accessible and packs a punch.

One of the scenography twists from Gothic was replacing some of the props with others when the players were not looking. Everything here is edible, including the worms!

I’m enjoying reading these unhinged games. Even the ones I’m not considering for awards are weird and wonderful. Keep making experimental art everyone. The world needs it.

Can't overstate this! It feels wonderful to know that someone had a good time with your game. It's not just that they appreciate your work. Someone's day, maybe a day with their friends, got better because of something you put into the world. It's a special feeling.

Jae Krehbiel just premiered a scenario at our festival, and they also released a new micro-game called Erratic Tachyon Staccatoe. This fifteen minute diversion is a sci-fi epic about warring empires claiming territory in a new subspace fold. Be sure to mark X or O to claim sector of space!

Anyway listen fandom is a communal endeavour. if you enjoy a fic, leave a comment. If you enjoy art, tell the artist. If you want to see more of a ship or fandom, support the people making art for it. Nothing feels worse than making art & words that seem to connect with nobody. It feels empty.

Just in time for our festival, Shawn Roske publicly releases a scenario he premiered with us. Graffiti: The Art of Rebellion created beautiful art throughout our Movement themed festival in 2023, as it's a pervasive game played in fits and starts between other things.
