One of the huge downsides of moving house during a heatwave is having to tactically close windows so that the cat can't escape ๐ซ

Oh and yes, multiculturalism has reinvented the UK for the better. Everything from music to the cuisine. Cultures which remain static wither. Cultures which embrace new ideas thrive. End of story.

Remarkable how incompetent the anti-Net Zero lot are. When scientists and politicians first made the case for climate change, they'd often time the press conferences for hot weather, knowing how superficial reporters and the public could be. Now, the antis have the whole thing arse over tit.

So, people of Reading, did you struggle to sleep last night? It was the warmest night on record for the town. The minimum (20.9ยฐC) was warmer than typical June daytime maximum temperatures. Burning fossil fuels has made this heatwave hotter than it would have been without those emissions.

Your aim for heat safety should be keeping your dog *not panting*. If theyโre panting, theyโre heat stressed. If theyโre panting at home try to think of ways to cool them, and absolutely donโt even *think* about taking them out. If they start to pant during exercise, stop.

When the father of a murdered son makes a public statement saying "we do not want his death to be used to create further division, hatred or tension", then I believe it's incumbent on any news outlet reporting on Farage's comments to ensure people know he has chosen to disregard the family's wishes.
