I remember when Smith was hired and we tempered expectations saying this was a slow burn hire; that the rebuild would take 3, maybe 4 years. But that was predicated on the assumption that there would be literally any improvement year to year, however marginal. This team is at best the same as 2024

On one hand, a new coach would bring optimism and hope. On the other hand, year 3 of Smith couldn’t possibly be worse, right? I mean the bar is on the ground. I just won’t care and can only be pleasantly surprised
