AI is replacing artists. AI is replacing voice actors. AI is replacing game developers and programmers. There's no middle ground in this at all and people have the right to boycott certain games and companies for using AI slop. Stop giving companies who use AI for everything money.

So I'm spending part of today transferring things off spotify and wow it is kind of abysmal that I either can't find my fave small artists or can't find some of my favorite older rock bands outside of Spotify in general.

If English alt text is too hard write it in your native language. If detailed alt text is too hard to do, keep it short and simple. You can't include every detail about your work anyways but at least give people a chance instead of leaving it blank.

alt text can be confusing if it's a new concept and you aren't used to writing it, it's like being the radio broadcaster for your art. you're describing the picture for people who can't see it. it's always 'necessary' since people aren't only sometimes blind; but only a sentence or two is enough 🧵

Your art isn’t bad just because it’s not selling right now. We’re in a recession and people don’t know when they’re gonna eat next, nobody can afford fun things because the economy is crumbling. It’s going to be hard a while.

If you’re a working artist talking to other creatives I’m begging you to not hide this. I have a parter who makes more and I don’t hide that and try to be as open as I can especially one on one. It’s cruel to not be honest with your fellow artist and give them any kind of false hope or fear

Seriously, if the art is strong, some color variation simply doesn't matter that much. The average person will never notice anyway and only you the artist know it didn't match exactly what you intended.
