I've been enjoying my time with DQVII Reimagined, but I think I'll still end up preferring the PS1 original. I still like how that game handles the vocation job system the most.

Made it past my least favorite part of Dragon Quest VII, a town that buries its sins it committed in the past in the present time. In this version though, they changed it in a neat way that doesn't make me hate the town nearly as much.

The NSO Virtual Boy unit arrived today. Only game I have to test it with is Mario Odyssey.

Something I appreciate with Dragon Quest VII is that both of the hero's parents are alive which is weirdly rare in the series. Like with your friend Keifer, they seem to be giving them a little more to do and say in this remake.

Got some power switches for the Atari 7800 since mine had a faulty one that would only work if I pressed it in on the bottom left corner. It was an easy fix and I was able to get a rough date this console was manufactured which was around August 1988.

Aishe joined my party in DQVII R. It's nice to know I've been pronouncing her name incorrectly this whole time. Her name was Aira in the original, but with this and the 3DS remake, I assume Aishe's name was pronounced either ashy or a-she; but turns out it's eye-sha.

So begins the vocation grinding in DQVII Reimagined. It started a little earlier in this version. I like that the party doesn't get costume changes for each vocation although the option wouldn't be bad I guess.
