Some days I can't get over how weird everything is. When I was growing up historians waited years to see diplomatic cable contents released. Now in a day we see the US govt tweet something & then get taken to the cleaners by a Lego themed diss track issued by the Islamic Republic of Iran.

I've met adults this week who 1. Didn't know the 'Ukraine thing' was still going; 2. Didn't know NASA was launching to flyby the moon; 3. Have no idea where Iran is on a map let alone more. Forget age checks, force folk to watch a current affairs newsreel before their online media or feed will load

Drove home listening to @justin-br0nk.bsky.social giving an excellent expert-interview on BBC Radio 4 on the LN F-15E situation in Iran. Clear, detailed, knowledgable, explained a lot of quite technical things in very accessible ways. Great job!! 👍 (Sadly followed by John Bolton who was a dick 🖕)
