TOMORROW: the Illinois General Assembly’s Immigration and Human Rights Committee will have a hearing on HR 221, a resolution which formally acknowledges Transgender Day of Visibility and expresses support for all of our trans and non-binary neighbors.

The City of Chicago is considering upzoning Broadway, and we encourage everyone to call their representative on city council to support it. Our neighbors deserve safer streets, responsible development, and more affordable housing, regardless of which side of the street they’re on.

This Sunday we’ll be tabling at Solar Intentions to talk to people about how to defend our immigrant neighbors from the Trump administration. Stop by and support a cool small business in the ward!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table at Women and Children First last weekend to write thank you cards for National Abortion Provider Appreciation Day! They’ve been sent to a few local providers and some located on the border with states that have restricted abortion care.

This coming Monday is National Abortion Provider Appreciation Day! They provide an important service for their patients but are mostly denied federal funding for their work, have seen increased demand for their services, and are often under attack for helping their patients and clients.
