It's near-white out conditions in Chicago as the snow comes down, and tonight's anti-ICE/CBP rally is wrapping up in front of city hall. But not before the crowd bounces and chants, "I believe that we will win!"

So I guess I’ll be going to the southwest side of town this season. :)

I don’t know about you all, but my melanin spidey sense has me feeling like some of us are just waking up to what the US has been our whole lives. I wish I could apologize for the trauma I’ve experienced my whole life by living in my skin, but I didnt cause it. I’m a survivor of it.

This goes out to the public. Ask every elected official that represents you if they support ABOLISHING ICE. Report back publicly. If they can’t say that they want to ELIMINATE the fascist secret police that is kidnapping people? Get a new elected. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

I scooped up a bunch of my second dog's fur from a couch, shaped it into a heart and framed it. Only time in 9 years I was glad she shed all the time. Been in this frame 11 years. Got a 3rd dog (short-haired, way sneakier) but always a piece of my heart will be w/ no. 1 and no. 2. Happy New Year! 🎇

When opportunity knocks, it’s still up to you to answer the door. One opportunity changed my life, and the choices I have made since have brought me to this point. Thank you to everyone who has ever been a part of my growth and who has put in the work to get us here. WE did this!
