Today in Being Super Lame: The Chicago City Council! Only five aldermen showed up for a planned quarterly hearing with the Chicago Transit Authority. The CTA's top leaders were ready to face questions. But too few aldermen showed up, so the meeting couldn't start. Lame!

It's near-white out conditions in Chicago as the snow comes down, and tonight's anti-ICE/CBP rally is wrapping up in front of city hall. But not before the crowd bounces and chants, "I believe that we will win!"

I don’t know about you all, but my melanin spidey sense has me feeling like some of us are just waking up to what the US has been our whole lives. I wish I could apologize for the trauma I’ve experienced my whole life by living in my skin, but I didnt cause it. I’m a survivor of it.

This goes out to the public. Ask every elected official that represents you if they support ABOLISHING ICE. Report back publicly. If they can’t say that they want to ELIMINATE the fascist secret police that is kidnapping people? Get a new elected. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
