A.I. and corporate lingo are trapping language yn the drugged realmes of vague, airy, plastic nothingnesse: glitz and hyperbole wythout meaning. Language sholde have fur and clawes, make the floorboardes creake and leave honest dirtye footprintes. Wordes are rayne and fyre and stone. Wielde them.

Please follow the submission guidelines when submitting your writing! There's no harm in double-checking before hitting submit. It's a small thing that makes a huge difference. Many magazines will outright reject your piece if it doesn't follow guidelines. Your work deserves to at least be read!

Sometimes it feels like you’ll never get the spark to write again, but then all it takes is the tiniest thing: a walk through an unfamiliar street, a passage from a favorite book, a sudden storm, and you might find yourself inspired again. It can feel like forever, but the words do find a way back.

Feeling grateful for my sister, who for 20 years gathered our complicated clan at her house, until her passing a little over two years ago. She visited us, briefly, a few months later. This one's for her.
