I’ve thought of the perfect DC & Marvel crossover, Batman and Groot. All the dialogue is just ‘I am Groot.’, ‘I am Batman.’

When the asteroid struck, much of the world died. Burnt wood, bone, and ash scattered under darkened skies. Fungus spread over the decay, lives that also fed surviving ants. Ants who began to farm the fungus, inventing agriculture long before we did. I’ll tell you more at Smithsonian.

I’ve read a couple of books recently that are strikingly appropriate to our age. Works of science fiction. Both written in the 50’s. There have also been a lot of posts I’ve seen recently about how such or such a writer ‘predicted the future’ or ‘saw what was to come’

I’m getting fed up of hearing how Keir Starmer is more popular than Jeremy Corbyn and no one liked his policies. Really? That appears to me to be ~560k more people voting for Corbyn than Starmer.

14 Aug 1945 WWII officially ended as Japan surrendered. Despite slogans of peace, freedom and democracy, the US kept Japanese officials in charge of Korea, Britain backed the far-right in Greece and the USSR established dictatorships in East Europe.

In what world is this necessary EVER? They’re creating nuclear power plant and sucking up fresh water to allow someone to pretend they’re in a relationship?! They’re hooking in lonely or even people that don’t get the difference between reality and fiction (my eldest with learning difficulties)

It took me a while to figure out what really bugged me about this design. It’s pretty ugly per se, but Dark and Magic aren’t even the same font! That’s Dark, of Dark Crystal and Magic of Magic the Gathering, as in the card game. That’s a lazy designer!
