The old bar is empty now, but looks like work is being done for something new opening there soon.

I received the “Colfax Loves Karl’s Art” red heart that once hung along the Avenue and was kindly presented to me by Colfax Ave BID. Oola instantly claimed the heart as here, insisting on squatter’s rights, and quite clearly let me know her feelings about my artwork. Can never really please a cat.

For the last week or so, Oola has been in a battle of wits with two squirrels, who’ve been stealing her cat grass seeds from a planter on our porch. Oola has not been amused by this transgression and has been keeping careful watch.

Looks like I’ll be back in Yorkshire this autumn. Outside the convention, you can likely find me with a pint at Hales Bar.
