With 38 hrs to go to the EHRC consultation deadline I'm seeing posts from people feeling bad they're too stressed to engage. The GLP⬇️has removed all but the last step, a general comment box. This is a far easier task. I hope it helps those who want to, to get their voice heard without too much pain.

I have been actively following this FOI request and am so grateful for @reactiveashley.bsky.social for pursuing this. We know Alice's data was not sent to the DHSC for Appleby to review. So it's particularly galling to read the Information Commissioner's Office quote Appleby at length stating:

The UK’s ILGA Europe ranking for 2025 is so frightening. It’s unsafe to be Queer here. Just a note though. ILGA exclude asexuality from all of their work. It’s nowhere on their website or glossary. It really hurts to be erased. Their work is important but we must hold them accountable.

As an asexual person living in the UK, my sexuality has never been protected by the Equality Act. Thankfully, I get by okay day-to-day simply by not disclosing it. I’m lucky. Many trans people don’t have the same privilege. I will fight for trans rights before my own.

There’s a LOT of anger out there about the EHRC and government overreach into lgbtq lives this morning. Hold on to it and use it; don’t mourn, organise. We can beat them.

Nottingham has a proud tradition of solidarity. We look after each other and we don’t fall for con artists playing divide and rule. So, in our hundreds, we showed the small anti-trans march that their views are not welcome. Their movement is a danger to trans people and women.

Another dawn, another day of being frustrated that asexual and aromantic identities aren’t being included in LGBTQIA+ spaces. 🙄

A fox caught one of my girls yesterday. Maisy. She was so pale & small when we rescued her in July 2023, but with time & love she flourished into a chonky happy girl. Most of her life was spent in the egg industry, but we gave her 1.5 years of grass, sunshine, & freedom. Rest in peace little one. ❤️

So so disappointing that Stonewall hasn’t even used the word ‘trans’ in their statement.

A reminder EUPD is NOT the new name for BPD. It is the old name for BPD. EUPD no longer exists in ICD-11, the latest revision of the diagnostic bible we use in the U.K. and half the world. BPD is no longer a diagnoses either but is a TRAIT QUALIFIER that gets added to PD 1/2

Life feels hard at the moment. But, at the same time, I’m sat in bed re-reading The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, drinking a vanilla chai latte, with my beloved dog curled up on the bed with me. The heating’s been on; I’m warm and safe. Life can be hard and good simultaneously.
