alright i've finished going through my collection of books and it looks like i'm currently at 41 countries (broadly defined) i've decided that for the sake of feasibility i'm going to count authors who publicly identify themselves as members of a specific diaspora/immigrant community, so...

the weird thing about this is that it's all about human dignity and nobody points out that the real problem is that AI tends to hallucinate bullshit and you don't want your pope avatar telling people to go off and eat poisonous mushrooms or whatever. 1

Jamaica- Marlon James, Black Leopard, Red Wolf sometimes you read a book where it's all about the plot. other times it's to let the language wash over you. this is the latter- a book where you just kinda got to let the words take you wherever they want and hang on

What are some trad pub SFF/H books that have been out at least a year that you think didn't get enough attention? Adult or YA. Marginalized authors preferred, and small press titles encouraged. Not looking for big bestsellers or award-sweepers.

I have two professor colleagues who have faced threats and harassment due to the organization Charlie Kirk built, and they were not alone. We can denounce and loathe political violence without hagiography for its victims. This is dangerous nonsense.
