And this is what’s wrong with America (well one thing). The system allows the wealthy to steal from the poor.

For years, disruption has been portrayed as leadership. But moments like the Artemis II mission and governing wins are reminding people what competence actually feels like. Once voters start expecting real and valuable results again, politics changes. At this moment in America, that shift matters.

The Hunger For Competence
Americans have been yearning for an end to the chaos. What we owe ourselves is something as bold and promising as a lunar mission.

If you look at tax cuts going back to the Reagan, Bush I, Bush II, and Trump Presidencies, they were never paid for. It didn't grow the economy fast enough to offset the debt generated. We can't solve the problem unless we're honest with ourselves that under Republican Presidents, our debt grew.

I am thinking about recent statements from American leadership that Europe has not done enough in protecting the world from bad things. Then I thought about Philip K Dick’s book Man in the High Castle: America split by Nazi and Japanese occupation. Let’s think about that for a bit

Sometimes I think how The Beatles were barely 30 when they broke up. All that music, the lyrics that transcend time, they were still in their 20s. That’s amazing! Isn’t it? I’m almost 60 & hardly have the imagination to write a grocery list, let alone a life defining lyric. I just, wow, amazing.

According to Federal Reserve economists, without Trump's tariffs, inflation would have dropped to pre-pandemic levels last year. Instead, core goods prices were up 3.1% by February 2026 — and Trump's Iran War will send prices skyrocketing even higher. Tired of winning yet?

$200 billion materialized overnight for Trump’s war of choice in Iran. But for 25 million uninsured Americans, Congressional Republicans have nothing. No urgency. No bill. No vote. They fund what they value.

There is a big problem we must not ignore with this meme. In 2024 only 73.6% of eligible voters bothered to register to vote. And of those who did register only 65.3% bothered to actually vote in 2024. Those people have got to be reached. They are OUR neighbors, friends and family.
