They are saying the quiet part out loud—consumers are the last of their concerns right now. Everywhere I go in NW Ohio, I hear about how costs are going up and life is less affordable. Rent, gas, medicines, and food are on the rise. This White House should put affordability for our people first.

As of this morning, Ohio has the second highest average cost increase for a gallon of gas in the country. Gas is up an average of 66 cents per gallon across the Buckeye State in 1 week. My neighborhood has stations up over 70 cents per gallon with no end in sight—this is unaffordable for our people!

From our Great Lakes Ports roundtable this week: Great Lakes ports move over 136 million tons of cargo, support over 241,000 jobs, and create $36 Billion in economic impact each year. Support for our Great Lakes region comes from the Big Middle, across party lines.

Russia has aided Iran in the targeting of American troops and assets, and China is soon to follow. We cannot ignore Moscow and Beijing coordinating with Tehran as part of the Spiderweb of Tyranny. When will this Administration get serious about sanctions on Putin and Russia?

Everywhere I go working people talk to me about affordability. It’s their top concern. While grocery prices continue to rise, in the last 24 hours alone, the average price for a gallon of gas in Ohio is up 22 cents a gallon, from $2.78➡️$3.00. When will the GOP help us make life more affordable?

Americans are facing higher energy costs, but it's not their fault. The Trump Administration is rolling back incentives to help lower costs and create new energy systems of the future. We need to stand up for affordability—not send our country backward.

Her story reminds us that progress doesn't just happen by accident. With the Quarterfinals today I join all of Ohio in saying: Go Laila! Go Team USA!

Social Security is a sacred trust, a solemn promise to generations of America's workers that includes a retirement benefit, a disability benefit in the event of injury, and a survivorship insurance benefit for families. This belongs to all Americans who work and pay into this hard earned benefit.
