American families are struggling with a 40% increase in gas prices, over $1 a gallon on average, caused by the War of choice with Iran. Instead of taking meaningful steps to bring down the soaring cost of living caused by this Administration’s policy, the President’s budget makes the problem worse.

If you look at tax cuts going back to the Reagan, Bush I, Bush II, and Trump Presidencies, they were never paid for. It didn't grow the economy fast enough to offset the debt generated. We can't solve the problem unless we're honest with ourselves that under Republican Presidents, our debt grew.

Not good for America. Not good for Europe. Not good for Ukraine. This is only good for Russia!

Article I, Section 9 states “No money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by law.” Mr. Speaker, there was no vote to authorize the unconstiutional War in Iran.

As #WomensHistoryMonth comes to a close, I rose to recognize NW Ohio trailblazer Louise Brower. In 1975 she broke barriers becoming the first woman to serve as a Principal of a large metropolitan Ohio High School. At Scott High she led with strength, dignity and an unwavering belief in her students.

That gap continues to grow—even more so for many women of color whose Equal Pay Day’s aren't until July and October! Equal pay for equal work isn’t optional—let’s work to close that gap!

The average price of gasoline across our Buckeye State of Ohio is $3.82—nationwide it is up more than $1 a gallon in a month!

Little Flower Scouts had many questions about citizenship, agriculture, and protecting our environment. As a once and forever Little Flower Girl Scout, I was glad to be with them. I look forward to seeing all of these young Scouts again once they've earned their Citizenship Badges.

This year the Anthony Wayne High School Cheer Team brought home the Ohio State Championship and won the National Championship. Championships are not handed out—they are earned with early mornings, late nights and countless hours of practice. Your teamwork and perseverance bring us all so much pride!

Today, I rose with a heavy heart and deep gratitude to call for moment of silence to honor three courageous Ohio National Guard Members — Captain Seth Koval, Captain Curtis Angst, and Master Sergeant Tyler Simmons of the 121st Air Refueling Wing who gave their lives in service to our nation.
