One of the many reasons I haven't tackled writing a longfic to be honest. Definitely not the only reason, don't get me wrong on that. I'm just like ?¿?how?¿? I'm far too aroace for this (I will read the most deranged weirdest smut btw, so love you all for that).

I have written 4 E rated fics (out of a total of 36 fics). The first E rated one I wrote was The Space Between Us which was an exploration of sexuality, but the ones that came after that contained E rated stuff because of this pressure. I wish I hadn't felt the need to put it in, but I did. 1/

I cannot emphasise enough how much of a deliberate choice it was for this to be a T rated fic, for the story to be purely about emotional connection. There will always be naysayers to non-explicit fics in fandom. Always. But T rated fics will always have an audience. Tell your story, regardless 💛

A self-rec bc this is one of the fics I'm most proud of! Izzy/Frenchie 1920s cosmic horror. I write a lot of smut but this fic didn't call for it, though I fear the lack of it made a niche fic even more so! (For those wanting to avoid sex altogether, there is one nongraphic flashback/dream scene.)
