Mike Clancy, General Secretary of the Prospect union, on Reform's plans to scrap the civil service code: “Reform plans for the civil service would take a wrecking ball to [it's] principles... “We need a civil service that can speak truth to power, not an army of Reform yes men."

One of the greatest Kennedy Center Honors performances ever: Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart, Jason Bonham on drums, and Shane Fontayne on electric guitar. It moved Robert Plant to tears as he watched alongside Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones. (Edited for format)

The cost of living crisis and our low growth are two symptoms of the same problem: an economic structure that hasn’t been working for a long time. We need to take on the root causes of those costs.

Huge respect to Kacey Musgraves for bringing the Mariachi Brothers to open for her after their release from wrongful detention - drawing attention to ICE abuses. Kacey has a long history of standing up for what’s right. Enjoy this gorgeous cover:

As a Christian, I don't think federal agencies should be referring to "Christ, our Savior" in any context. I don't need my government to validate my faith. That's why it's called faith. More importantly, my government shouldn't be invalidating the religions of other Americans.
