What's happening in the NHS?

These things have sprung up in the garden in the last few days. I'm pretty sure they're from the sycamore tree (despite the beech nuts in the second photo); some survived last summer but they all seem to die over the winter. Maybe with some TLC they can be coaxed into surviving?

I'm really pleased that these two not only survived but somehow thrived over the Big Cold. They're ivy-leaved toadflax and they have lovely little purple flowers in summer. I think they get long creepers, so maybe a hanging basket? I may also try pegging down the creepers to see if they root 😊

This is the most animated I've seen Starmer in a while, and it's when he's smearing Greens as extremists. Hopefully tirades like this will show people just how right wing and unhinged he is. The "polite sensible centrist" veneer could not be thinner. He wanted Farage. But we wanted hope more. 🌿💚

I think this must be a slightly different, self-seeded kind of speedwell compared to my other ones. It's definitely more purple, and the leaves are a slightly different shape. Very cool. Hopefully I'll get some seeds from this one.
