Just watched this review of Between Two Fires, and it's 20 min of bro whining that it wasn't as much like Dark Souls (video game) as he was told it would be, and that the book doesn't explain the "world building" (France in 1348) and "magic system" (Catholicism).

Art is any process by which a person considers ideas, problems, emotions, material reality, or some other concept, via a the creation of an image, story, dance, sculpture, musical composition, poem, or other externalization of their thoughts. The point is the process itself, not the end product.

A chance to show off one of my favorite dialog quirks for my characters who speak with an accent. Their native language doesn't differentiate the words "neither" and "either," so they just say "neither" for both (pronounced nee-ther).

I understand the impulse, but replying "oh wow looks like they're not just going after black and brown people" to every story about a white person getting picked up by ICE is...not actually helpful. It's not like they voted for Trump, they're not citizens.

New— An American citizen boarding flight from Boston to Lisbon just now told me after showing boarding pass, every passenger stopped on jetway by two ICE agents demanding to take their photo. When passenger asked why, ICE threatened to detain them. If they said no photo, couldn't board/TBD detained.
