The data shows pretty clearly the impact of the global financial crisis and Brexit, but also the failure of the coalition government to turn the tide of real wages for most of its time in office...

The meeting between Ukrainian President Zelenskyy and the US delegation in Berlin, Germany, has started. What is great to see is that German Chancellor Merz is sitting right in the middle of the Ukrainian delegation, making absolutely clear where he stands in this matter.

The head of the Catholic Church in Spain calls for a general election or a confidence vote. And wants the Constitution reformed to "clarify" it. In other words, Sánchez must go and Spain is a country with a single national identity.

Russia destroyed 100% of Odesa’s energy infrastructure. All substations were destroyed by missiles and drones. The city has been completely left without electricity, hot water, and heating for over one million people, including all critical infrastructure.

🇪🇺🇺🇸 Merz: The decades of Pax Americana are largely over for us in Europe — and for us in Germany as well. It no longer exists in the way we once knew it. The Americans are now firmly pursuing their own interests. We are falling behind — partly due to U.S. trade and tariff policy.

I do believe there is a difference in values between us and the Americans. We believe in helping strangers. That making sacrifices to help people who we do not know, or who we might not even like, is still something we should do. We might share this with Canadians, but I don't see it in Americans.

Astonishing how awful UK journalism is. Listening to Jo Coburn on Times Radio..she did an appalling interview which made me agree with Helen Webberly 😯😯 Then she's interviewed a father of a trans child who split from his wife and hasn't seen his daughter for 2 years! A terrible Dad! 🤦

What I don't understand is that there are massive, massive political benefits for the first European leader to tell the orange pedophile to do one, but none of them will do it? Endless benefits for anyone prepared to punch Europe's bully in the face (metaphorically)

The fact that four hostile drones tried to hit Zelenskyy’s plane & it’s barely a blip in the news cycle should terrify everyone. We’ve been dragged so deep into the chaos era that an attempted strike on a world leader doesn’t even break through. When this becomes normal, the world is in real danger.
