In spite of it all I’m still here. Still busy as all hell, but that’s just how it goes sometimes. The weather is slowly getting better in MN, and every nice day I’m running off to the woods or out garden planning and managing seedlings. I also got to have fun with friends all weekend long!

An idea that has been rattling around in my brain. Baby shrews will grasp the base of the tail of their mom/siblings to create these caravans to prevent anyone from getting lost when their nest is disturbed. It may also be used to help babies familiarize themselves with the world beyond their nest.

i've been reading leguin's Always Coming Home, an anthropological exploration of a totally fictional culture, and also have been really into studying katsuya terada's work. so i'm combining those interests. i want to do at least a few of these, following a day in troll culture.
