Lovely day and happy Friday. Here are some SFX from the first half of LOBO #1! These are all hand lettered (both analog and digital) to complement some of the SFX that Jorge has drawn into the art in other spots.

My new knives came in! Despite being the primary cook in every home I’ve lived in for the last 30 years, I’ve never had a decent set of chef’s knives. I did some homework, tested out a bunch of brands at Williams Sonoma, and Global felt best to me. I’m pretty excited!

Update on Project Sacramento. Slowly but surely, I'm refining letters, and adding new ones. Most notably, the G has changed shape quite a bit since the last update.

With each new character introduced in Minor Threats, my morgue file of caption styles grows! I give each of them a caption that reflects their costume...

Lovely day. Woke up with a splitting headache, so I gobbled some Migraine Strength Excedrin, and I'm in the office for as long as I can stand it. This morning I'm wrapping up I Hate Fairyland #48, then I'm finishing the last of three custom fonts for an unnamed client. Listening to QOTSA.

As some of you may know, I'll be lettering @skottieyoung and @jorge_cor's new LOBO series for DC. I've been coming up with some raw SFX alphabets that I think will complement Jorge's art nicely. I hand lettered 6 sheets of oil pastels on bristol, scanned and vectorized.

In the last 30 years, I've only found *2* Gibson Les Pauls that I really loved. It's the weight. LPs are HEAVY @ avg 9+lbs. My neck can't take it. The 2 I own are both from 2007, and all are "Classic 60s" models. Well, arriving today, is #3. A 2007 ltd. ed. Classic Antique.(1/2)

Now that the Pinis have annoucned it, I can reveal that I'm busy remastering all the lettering for the classic @Elfquest Siege at Blue Mountain series from the 80s! Wendy is recoloring the whole thing, too! The entirety of Siege will be republished by Dark Horse in 2027.
