💯 I'm a city planner in my bones. What's more important to viable cities than supporting people: Their access to healthcare, food, housing, and their basic right to flourish in all their diversity? Fossil fuel & AI-oligarchs believe cities can exist without free-thinking people. They are wrong.

Pushing for a cease fire so you can look good in a genocide you specifically enabled, at the same time as you’re assaulting your own democracy & waging war on your own cities, is never going to get you a prize for peace. If there’s a prize for hypocrisy and narcissism though, you’ve got a real shot.

Isn’t it so strange that we’ve chosen to design our cities & streets in such a way that it’s considered perfectly normal to drive a 3,000-6,000lb+ car to get small items (ex: flowers & coleslaw) from the store? Because other modes are impossible or unsafe? We should fix that.
